7-9 December 2020, Abi State, Nigeria

In support of  FIG’s ongoing commitment to the surveyors role in the SDGs, the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) is sharing the understanding of the SDGs across its membership in Nigeria and how Surveyors skills can make our world a better place.

Kabir MM, Registrar SURCON delivered a keynote and technical paper at the workshop “Achieving Sustainable Development through the application of geospatial technologies”  held in Abia State, SE Nigeria, 7th - 9th December, 2020.

Key Note, Kabir MM, Registrar SURCON

The workshop involved top professionals in Geospatial technology industries, participants from the built industries, political, religious and traditional leaders, women groups, students and youth associations from Abia State and the south east of Nigeria.  It is anticipated that a paper capturing the deliberations will be produced in the New Year.

FIG members continue to promote the SDG, spearheaded by FIG Task Force 2019-2022 (Chair Paula Dijkstra, Netherlands). And we welcome notice of our members initiatives and activities so that we may continue to build up a FIG resource Library.
