FIG WORKING WEEK 2023

The preparations for the FIG Working Week 2023 in Orlando, Florida, USA are in full swing.  FIG Council, Commission, Network and Task Force Chairs met in Copenhagen.

Technical programme

The Chairs had two busy days elaborating on their work plans that will be presented at the General Assembly, and planning a creative and exciting programme for the three conference days. More than 400 abstracts have been received through the open call for papers and further to this there will be sessions composed with partners as well as special sessions.The chairs brainstormed about formats for the technical sessions which laid a foundation for the further process that will take place in the coming months in which the programme will take shape.
Currently authors are being notified withether their abstract has been accepted or rejected.


Plenary Sessions

FIG Council and the Local Organisers are working hard to offer you three thought-provoking and visionary plenary sessions during the Working Week. There will be one plenary session at the beginning of each conference day. Look forward to the following topics:

Working Week Preparations

The preparations for your attendance in Orlando, Florida have intensified in order to secure you an excellent experience during the Working Week.


The local organisers and FIG are looking forward to welcoming you to an extraordinary week of sessions, social, and sun!
FIG President Diane Dumashie, together with Director Louise Friis-Hansen visited Orlando, Florida at the end of January for discussions on the preparations with the hotel and conference centre, potential suppliers and the local organisers from NSPS.

Networking is central for attendees says all prior surveys, and therefore our local hosts are bringing together exciting activities to add on your conference experience, such as the Welcome Reception and conference dinner. As extra feature you will also have the opportunity to add a pre-event to your experience, and on Friday 2 June a Golf Tournament is being organised at the compound.

Book your hotel

The conference centre is conveniently located between the two hotels Signia by Hilton and Hilton Astoria which will give all participants a special conference feeling and experience. Once you have registered you will be able to also secure your hotel room. We encourage you to book accommodation at these hotels. The local organiser NSPS has been able to ensure good hotel rates for you - and please note that included in the rate is the Disney Resort fee of 45 USD that is otherwise added to all accommodations within the Disney area.

The Early Bird Registration fee will end 28 February

Register for the FIG Working Week 2023 in Orlando, Florida, USA at latest 28 February to pay the Early Bird Fee. After this date, the fee will increase with 100 USD.
