Professor Eleonora Bonifacio will provide an overview of the mechanisms that lie behind the carbon storage and stabilization capacity of the soil, the relationships between soil characteristics and the invasiveness of alien tree species, which threaten biodiversity, and the mechanisms allowing plant survival in harsh, low-fertility situations.

Planetary Futures - Organised by IGU
DKG is the largest Geography Conference in Germany. It will be held as an in-person meeting in September 2023 in Frankfurt. About 1,500 papers will be presented in more than 300 sessions. In addition, there will be lectures, panel discussions, poster sessions, and a wide range of field trips.
