Article of the Month in 2026
FIG publishes each month the Article of the Month. This is a high-level paper
focusing on interesting topic to all surveyors. This article can be picked up
from an FIG conference or another event or it can be a paper written directly
for this purpose.
- March 2026 A peer review paper for FIG Congress
2026 by Kovilen Reddy, South Africa. The paper examines curriculum
reform in geomatics education at Tshwane University of Technology
between 2018 and 2025 following national qualification changes. Using a
mixed-methods longitudinal case study, it analyses enrolment trends,
student progression, and graduate outcomes during the transition to a

presented at the FIG Commission 7 and 8 of the UFSC FIG Joint Land
Administration Conference in Brasil. The paper analyzes Brazil's
Ordinance No. 3,242/2022, which establishes guidelines for the
multipurpose cadastre, highlighting its alignment with international
technical and conceptual frameworks.
