During the conference days in the technical programme various fora, FIG sessions and workshops are included.
The FIG Director Generals‘ Forum brings together Chief Executives and Director Generals of national (and sub-national) public agencies that are responsible for national mapping, land management, and related tasks.
The theme for the FIG Congress 2026 is about "The Future We Want - the SDGs and Beyond". In line with this overall theme, the DG Forum will focus on how our national mapping and cadastre agencies can respond to the global challenges and support the wider society.
The Academic Members Forum is organised by FIG Commission 2 on Education together with national and international university experts focusing on the global challenges in academia and how they affect both local, national and international universities.
Representative from Member Associations and Regional Bodies are invited to this Forum. This Forum is an opportunity for Member Associations and Regional Bodies to meet and discuss matters of relevance, exchange good practice, ideas etc. It will be possible to report back from the Member Association Forum to the Presidents Meeting.

The Presidents meeting will take place Thursday 28 May 2026 7:30 - 8:45 at the Cullinan Hotel.
All Presidents/head of delegation will receive an invitation to this meeting. FIG President will discuss matters related to FIG member associations with the Presidents/heads of delegation.
Coffee/tea will be served
FIG Corporate members are invited to this meeting. Corporate members will meet with FIG President. At the meeting there will be an evaluation of FIG Working Week 2025, general FIG matters, update on the Council Working Group on Corporate Members, and introduction to the upcoming events.
