FIG Congress Dinner
Date: Tuesday 13 September 2022
Time: 19:30 - 00:00
Dresscode: Formal
Location:  Warsaw University of Technology
Fee: 100 EUR

The most exclusive dinner of the Congress will take place in a unique place, the cradle of Polish Surveying in the best technical university in Poland, the Warsaw University of Technology. In the Main Building, where the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography is located, Main Hall designed by Stefan Szyller and built in 1901 is one of the most beautiful venue for distinctive events. On these walls, you will also be able to notice targetted control points used as a reference in students’ exercise, but attendees will for sure be more focused on the festival of the lights and sounds prepared by organizers.

During the Congress Dinner, guests will have another opportunity to meet The Song and Dance Ensemble of Warsaw University of Technology and try their own talent in folk dancing.

The best entertainment will be guaranteed by the Engineers Band. The instrumental band from Warsaw University of Technology combines a string section (violins, violas, cellos), with a more typical for a big band brass section (trumpets, trombones) and saxophones, but also other woodwind instruments (flutes, clarinets, bassoons), as well as an accordion and at times even a harmonica.

The standard sound of a rhythm section is enriched by additional percussion instruments and a keyboard. All of the above, complemented by a vocal group, forms an unusual, yet highly flexible and attractive line-up, which all together creates a unique and multi-colored sound of the band. One of the most remarkable values of the group is their enthusiasm, joy and heart and soul, which they put to music performance. As a result, through their music, The Engineers Band transmit a huge dose of positive energy to their audience, which is what makes their events so unique. Entertainment with them will be remembered by you.
