Department of Agricultural and Forestry EngineeringThe University of Santiago of Compostela was founded in 1495, and has two campuses in Santiago and Lugo. The Department is integrated by 68 professors belonging to scientific areas like Engineering Design; Agroforestry Engineering; Cartographic, Geodetic and Photogrammetric Engineering; Mechanical Engineering and Projects in Engineering. Courses conduct to higher level degrees (5 years) in Agricultural Engineer and Forestry Engineer, as well as to lower level degrees (3 years) in Agricultural Engineer and Forestry Engineer, delivered at the Escuela Politécnica Superior of Lugo, University of Santiago of Compostela (Spain). Their professional responsibilities include Hydrology, Measurement, Engineering Surveying, Cadastre and Land Management, Rural Planning, Land Valuation, Rural Construction and Forest Management.
