The FIG Foundation Young Surveyor Grants

The FIG Foundation will sponsor and award Young Surveyor Grants in support of FIG Congress 2026 and FIG Young Surveyors Conference. A total of 4 grants will be awarded. Deadline to submit application is 5 December 2025.

VCSP Hackathon 2025

The Volunteer Community Surveyor Program (VCSP) is excited to announce the VCSP Hackathon 2025, under the theme: Innovating for Climate-Resilient & Inclusive Land Administration. This global challenge invites young surveyors (under 35 or within 10 years of graduation) to harness the power of geospatial and digital tools in addressing some of the world’s most urgent issues such as climate change, land governance, and tenure security.
members must not exceed 3 who will participate to design practical prototypes that leverage GIS, coding, design, and policy expertise to create innovative, scalable solutions for climate and land challenges. Beyond this competition, the hackathon is a unique opportunity to collaborate, learn, and showcase talent on an international stage. All code, datasets, and outputs will be shared openly on agreed platforms, ensuring that solutions contribute to broader knowledge-sharing within the surveying and geospatial community.

The FIG Congress is the major event held every four years and includes elections of the new FIG President and two Vice Presidents.
