President Stig Enemark attends the Norwegian Annual
Conference 2009

FIG President Stig Enemark attended the Annual Conference “Areal
og Ejendom” (Land and Property 2009) in Son in Akershus, Norway 24-25
September 2009. This conference was at the same time the General Assembly of
NJKF (profession group in TEKNA), which is the FIG member in Norway
(together with GeoForum Norway they form the FIG Norway).
About 100 participants attended the conference with a professional
program addressing the most topical issues for the Norwegian surveyors (Jordskiftekandidater).
Main issues were land information systems; coastal zone management; and
power line developments; President Enemark was invited to make a keynote
presentation on “Global
Trends towards a Spatially Enabled Society”. Another invited keynote
was presented by Mr. Tryggvi Mår Ingvarsson, Head of Geoinformation
Department, The Land Registry of Iceland (FIG affiliate member), focusing on
“Property Registration and the Financial Crisis”.
