Opening ceremony of the 3rd Urban Forum gathered more than 6,000 people to the plenary hall of VCEC.

Mrs. Anna Tibaijuka, Executive Director of UN-Habitat opened the WUF.
 

Global Land Tool Network to develop pro poor land tools was launched at the WUF. Focal points for GLTN are Dr. Clarissa Augustinus and Mr. Ulrik Westman.

As most of the session also the networking event on GLTN attracted lot of delegates and some people had to be turned from the doors.

Mrs. Tibaijuka opened the GLTN Round table on Gendering Land Tools.
