Atatürk Airport

Most flights arrive at İstanbul Airport, which is located 20 km West of the city center. From this airport, there are several ways to get in İstanbul.

Metro: Metro line is active between 06:00 am – 00:00 pm. It takes 1 h to reach Taksim.

Havataş: Bus service departs for Taksim every half an hour between 4:00 am and midnight. / 15 TL Bus: Bus (with 96T code) operated by IETT goes downtown, has fewer departure times. Please check IETT website for hours and routes: www.iett.gov.tr/en

Taxi: Currently it takes around 60 TL to go Taksim. It is offered to negotiate before you take taxi.

Car Rental: It is possible to find car rental offices at the airport or book online before you come.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport

The second airport of İstanbul is in the Anatolian side of the city.

Havataş: Bus service departs for Taksim every half an hour between 4:00 am and midnight. / 15 TL

Bus: Busses (E10, E3, E9, E10, E11, 16S, 18H, KM22, 132) operated by IETT goes downtown, please check IETT website for hours and routes: www.iett.gov.tr/en Taxi: Currently it takes around 110 TL to go Taksim. It is offered to negotiate before you take taxi.

Car Rental: It is possible to find car rental offices at the airport or book online before you come.

By Boat

International liners and cruise ships stop at Karaköy İskelesi (Quay). You can easily reach Taksim or Sultanahmet from Karaköy.

By Bus

There are two bus stations in İstanbul for international bus lines: Esenler and Harem. Both stations are very central and easy for public transportation.

By Train

International trains from Europe arrive at Sirkeci Station, from East arrive at Pendik. Please check Turkish State Railway website for schedules: en.tcdd.gov.tr/index.php

Public Transportation
