Reducing rural population and low infrastructure, as well as rapid urbanization and social segregation have put pressure of land and human settlements. This session seeks to discuss various socio-economic planning responses to such developments in order to revitalize rural and urban areas to support each other.

Guiding Questions for Discussions:

  • How do rural urban linkage manifest between regions?
  • How is sustainability addressed in planning efforts?
