Platinum Link Phone Rental Service

We have a wide variety of CDMA digital handsets available for rent to participants at the FIG regional conference in Accra. The phones are already connected to the Kasapa Telecom Network. Kasapa Telecom is a subsidiary of Hutchison Telecom.

Rental Fees

Our special conference rate is $35.00 for the entire duration of the conference. This covers rental charges for one CDMA handset plus
¢10 000 (ten thousand cedis) worth of talk time.

You can purchase additional talk time when you require it at the conference registration desk for as low as $1.09 (U.S. dollars) or ¢10 000 (Ghanaian cedis)

The currency used in Ghana is the cedi (¢) the exchange rate of the cedi to the US dollar is ¢9200 = $1

FAQ

When will I receive my mobile phone?

You will receive your phone on the first day of the conference at the conference registration desk.  You will return your phone on the last day of the conference or on your departure date.

When will I have to pay for the phone?

You will have to pay the full rental charge of $35 (US dollars) or ¢322 000 (Ghanaian cedis) when you are picking up the phone.

Where can I purchase additional Talk time?

You can purchase additional talk time from the registration desk at the conference venue.

What happens if I damage or lose a phone?

You will have to pay for the cost of the phone if you damage or lose it. For this conference this fee will not exceed $50.
